July 25th 2010 - upcoming Brisbane meeting

Hi folks,

Okay so Jesse will be ministering at Kenmore Baptist Church Sunday 25th July 2010 at 5pm.

Be sure to get in early as the place normally packs out fast. There is an overflow room though - so don't let the crowds put you off - come just as you are!!

Kenmore Baptist Church:
57a Kenmore Rd,
Kenmore.

Think about it...
...the lepers came to Him...
...blind Bartemaeus cried out to Him...
...the Roman centurian sought Jesus out for his servant...
...the paralysed man had his friend's make a hole in the roof of a stranger's home so that he could be lowered on a stretcher to Jesus...
...short Zaccheus climbed a tree so he could be closer to Jesus...

...and what happened???

Jesus met them where they were at - and answered their hearts desires...

It takes faith to move the hand of God.
Sometimes you gotta demonstrate your faith by physically getting up, catching public transport/driving/riding your bike etc...and getting to the place to meet up with Jesus.

Hey - Jesse is not Jesus by any stretch of the imagination.
Just the postie dropping off God's mail to anyone willing to receive it...

...do you want God's mail...?

So if you are in Brisbane on the 25 July 2010, the place to be is KBC at 5pm.

Torres Strait Islands - Coconut Is (July 2010)

G'day g'day...!

So what's happening?

Yes it has been a shockingly long time since I last updated the blog...and for that I am truly sorry. Fingers, toes, eyes (& anything else too) crossed I will be more diligent in the next few months.

So back to the lastest happenings...

Jesse got back from a 12day trip up to the Torres Strait Islands - mainly based on Coconut Is, but also spending a day or so at Horn Is., before heading over to Cairns.

So why was he up there?
Because the TSI were celebrating "The coming of the Light" - about 100yrs ago the gospel message first came to the TSI. He was invited to come over ministering in evangelistic meetings.

...and was God God?

I know - dumb question...YOU BET!!!

Heaven came down and changed the lives of SOOOO many people.

In 12 days there were a total of 36 people saved. Roughly 20-odd young people aged between 16-late 20's gave their lives to Jesus at a youth rally.
People were being delivered from all manner of sickness, disease and oppressions of the devil.
Poltegeist activity was cast out.
Healings and deliverances were happening in the lives of these precious people just as they sat and heard the messages being preached.

The bible says that if 1 soul gets saved, all of heaven rejoices...and with 36 new names added to the roll, the party is going to be going on for a while...!

Apart from evangelistic outreach, the local TSI ministers/pastors also received ministering during the teaching sessions.

...so was God God?
...you better believe it!!

Thanks for the prayers.
We greatly appreciate it.
...and so do the lives of all those changed by the saving grace of Jesus Christ...!

God bless,
AP

Yamba 2010

G'day, g'day!

Yes I know it's been ages...to be honest...the last time I updated this site was last year...
...sorry been a little slack, but things have been hectic to say the least...!

But first things first:
1. HAPPY NEW YEAR 2010 (4 months late I know...)
2. Easter 2010...think about it - the old rugged cross. Worn out wood. Lots of splinters. Stained with dried blood. But yet it is on this old piece of rugged spintery worn out wood that the greatest gift to humanity ever was presented. Jesus Christ. God in the form of a human dying for us. Each and every person. You. Me. My family. Your family. The neighbours. The bus driver. The check-out chick. The burger flipper. The univeristy professor. The ER doctor....each and every single person. HE gave HIMSELF for You. For me. A gift that was humiliating. Barbaric. The leakiest way to die ever. But He did it. For You. For me.
...and the best part is that unlike some gifts that wear out over time, get old fashioned, rusty, broken, etc...Jesus Christ bounced back from the dead. And is ALIVE. Not dead. But alive. Not a pile of bones in a tomb or spread out all over the world. But He's ALIVE. Not some man-made object that you talk too but doesn't respond...No way. He's ALIVE. He LIVES. And just like He is all-mighty, all-victorious - He wants you & me to be the same - victorious in every hurdle life throws at us.
Now this is one gift that doesn't fall out of fashion...He's constant. He's the same. He's all-mighty.
He's all-victorious. And He's the best gift You, me, anyone can ever receive. He paid it all for us. He's a free gift to anyone willing to receive Him.

...and finally some highlights of things happening...

So tomorrow (4/4/10) we'll be joining our Aboriginal Christian family down in Yamba (northern NSW coast)...enjoying our ALIVE God. Sharing, singing, dancing, having fun testifying about the Greatness of our God. Jesus totally personifies AWESOMENESS. And it is such a great buzz to be able to share Him to those gathered in Yamba. Please pray for God to be glorified in all things.

Have fun.

...and I'll try to be more frequent...
